The new issue of Hong Kong’s Sudden Weekly magazine revealed the new “Male Stamp Collector’s” scandal. Many Male artistes have denied the claims and that they were not involved in the incident. Last month Sandra Ng first exposed on the programme “Club Sparkle” that there was a “Female artist Stamp Collector” in the industry, meaning the female star will collect Famous male stars and sleep with them just like collecting stamps as a hobby. Since she exposed this topic it has been a hot topic in the industry and has made many female stars became suspicious suspects.

While Sandra was afraid she offend people this “Stamp Collecting Storm” has blown to Taiwan. Last week on the Taiwan Programme “王 牌 鑑 定 團” a guest exposed that there was a “Male Stamp Collector” in the industry that slept with 5 famous Hong Kong female stars and told people about it. Many famous male artistes have become suspects. The description of the Male Stamp Collector was that he has a muscular physique. Previously married and divorced, his wife was a former Martial arts star, has filmed Category III films and even exposed that the females he collected are female main leads in the industry. Michael Miu and Joe Ma were a few that were speculated as suspects.

Joe Ma: They said the male stamp collector shot Category III films, I have never filmed that category. I have only done Category II B. This point doesn’t match me, but this news makes it sound like all male artistes do this kind of thing.

Michael Miu stressed that he has never filmed a Category III movie and is not the muscular type.

Linda Chung: “I have been in the industry 5 years and have never experienced anything like that. Perhaps I don’t know the person they are hinting (Male Stamp collector). My image is also healthy and will scare away many males. Actually there are many healthy artistes in the industry. I will not discriminate those who have made mistakes. Everything in this industry is shown on TV. Many people see me as a role model. I hope there won’t be any more news like this.”

Ray Lui: “Now people have nothing to play with and it’s got to such an abnormal state. Actually this storm cannot last for long. This (refering to stamp collector) incident has made things messed up. Personally I am a buddhist, moral values are most important, when one is healthy they will be happy too.”

Charmaine Sheh: “Stamp Collecting? What is that? I haven’t heard about it. No one has approached me to collect stamps.”

Moses Chan: ” Well when we are shooting a series together there will certainly be some laughing. But when you talk about “Stamp collecting” I really don’t know if people do that. I feel that the entertainment circle has too much of these rumours about recently. The Salty Pork Hand news has finished, then it got to the female star stamp collectors. Now its discussing about male star stamp collectors. I feel that the entertainment industry recently is very unhealthy.”

Raymond Lam: ” Stamp Collecting, I don’t understand, sorry I’m not talking about this because I have worked with many Fa Dan’s. We are all brothers and sisters.”

Kenneth Ma: I will not take this news too seriously. Like before when there was the salty hand pork news. I don’t believe that there are so many female stars who won’t go and report to the police when they have been sexually harassed. They reported on Female stamp collectors last time. Now they talk about male stamp collectors. I will see it as entertainment. (Have any female stars tried to collect you?) “No, I also want people to collect me.”

Tavia Yeung: I believe many of the things said are just rumours. I don’t quite believe the rumours are true. If I choose, I would choose the real stamp collecting, I like to collect stamps. I feel that people should just do the best in their own duties.

TVB Command to Keep Quiet

Many TVB artistes have been speculated of being the “Male Stamp Collector” after the description. TVB Executives have ordered their artistes to keep quiet about the case to avoid making the issue even bigger. Many artistes have been advised to be extra careful of what they do in their personal life, as it would affect and ruin the company’s image.

Black-White Musical Notes Practice A Song: Kenneth Ma & Kate Tsui

If you like Kenneth Ma, then you must know who Kate Tsui is, and vice versa if you like to watch Kate Tsui’s dramas, you must know who Kenneth Ma is.  By the sound of it, these two people are tied together tightly, but reality tells us that this isn’t really the case as it seems to be on TV.  Kenneth and Kate are natural individuals, one is a male that would be very happy if he is able to own a 2,000 square feet home in Hong Kong, the other, a girl who wishes to succeed in her career, become famous and then move to a small town in England to escape from the world. They’re just like black white musical notes, the two sides of a mirror, day and night, one walks to the right and the other walks to the left.

The Commoner?
The sport that Kenneth loves is also the same sport that all males of Hong Kong love playing/watching. Whenever soccer season comes, his only entertainment/activity is staying at home watching soccer games. At this point, no matter how important the situation may be, it’s best not to go and disturb him, because watching the games is much more important. He also enjoys playing the sport, and when he’s on the field he takes charge, and not only that, he also feels “high” (natural high).  No matter how shy and boring he may be at other times, when he’s on the field playing soccer, you’ll get to see the active/playful side of him, and when he gets too hot he’ll even take off his soccer shorts & you can then see his “school kid style” underwear.  Just recently, he was unfortunate enough that some magazine published a picture of him while he was taking off his pants (article pix here: 1, 2) although it was only a few seconds’ time. At the same time this proves that Kenneth is really a great and traditional good guy, even his underwear is so traditional making him very cute.
Passive type?
During the time period when Kenneth was still in school, there was a long period of time in which his acne/pimple caused him a lot of distress. Although Kenneth was already fairly tall then, when he spoke with others he didn’t dare look at the other person in the eyes. He was afraid that he might see a not-very-good expression on the other person’s face.  He would also never voluntarily say hi to others.  During this period of feeling inferior among others, he developed the habit of not talking with others, hence while filming, you’ll see a group of people playing together, but you’ll always see Kenneth sitting by himself as though he’s deep in thought. But he might not be really thinking about anything, he just doesn’t want to be talking with people whom he does not really know.  When he sees the camera from the press, his first reaction would be a response of his ”frozen-smile” or he’ll walk away to avoid the camera. Only until Benz Hui spoke with Kenneth, was he enlightened. Benz told Kenneth that even if you don’t like to goof around, you’ve still have to learn how to face the camera and take advantage of opportunities and go after them, if not, you won’t seem like a person who belongs to this industry, and in that case you should probably quit.  Only after this conversation did Kenneth slowly start to learn to be more assertive on carrying out a conversation. He’ll try to broaden conversation topics, and would also try to elaborate on his answers and comments so that he would be speaking more.
When Kate is filming with Kenneth, most of the time she would be the one that goes and looks for people to talk to.  There’s nothing bad about that. She’s even already at the stage where she said she’s going to introduce girls to Kenneth! However, Kenneth, who is a little slow catching on still thinks that the two of them don’t have much to talk about (Yet, Kate is already thinking of finding girls for him).
Career type?
Kenneth is a super great boyfriend, if that isn’t the case then during the time that Kenneth went to Hunan for a dance competition (Strictly Come Dancing II), Nancy Wu and Myolie Wu wouldn’t have mentioned Kenneth when they were asked who would be their ideal type of guy. Kenneth’s idol is Benz. For his career he only wants to be “the second” , the second male leading role.  That way, he can film, make money, yet he doesn’t have to take on the pressure, and then maybe after many years of filming he will have enough money to buy a car and a house and live together with his family, that’s all he wants.  Kenneth is the type that would be living in a high class hotel in Changsha and not give his laundry to the laundry service. Instead, he would go out and buy his own laundry detergent, and when he checks out of the room he would kindly ask the hotel staff “Can you safe-keep the detergent for me, I will need to use it the next time I come.” We’re talking about safekeeping a box of detergent!!!  Hence sometimes he would just “admit to life” (accept fate) and say “Girls like boys that are a bit “bad boy”, but that’s not me.” If you were to date him, he will not make any plans; the activities may be the same for every date, but above all, he would have to watch his soccer games!  There may not be a candlelight dinner, after dinner they may go on a walk, and if there’s nothing else to do after the walk and  they don’t know where to go, Kenneth will for sure suggest to the girl “Let’s go home and watch DVDs.”
Kenneth knows that it’s going to be a must that he and Kate will get involved with rumors of them dating, but he thinks that its going to be really funny when it does happen, because he understands that Kate is a work-alcoholic.  Kenneth’s ideal type of girl is a girl that would be willing to devote a lot to her boyfriend. But Kenneth sees that a lot of times Kate would go crazy in stress for her job, sometimes he would advise her to relax a bit.

He can’t take the detergent w/ him? haha. silly boy. Yesterday Kenneth Ma and Vivien Yeo attended the “Italian Cup Semi-Final” (意大利杯準決賽) press conference. Recently Kenneth and Nancy Wu have been spreading rumors, Nancy even publicly strongly praised him. Towards this, he smiled: “Praising me is useless, I don’t have anyone thats fighting for me. But I do thank her for praising me, thank you first! (Is there a chance for you and Nancy to develop the relationship?) Definitely, or else would I say that she’s not good?!” In Kenneth’s impression, Nancy is a hard working dancer and since a year ago when Nancy moved near him, their rumors started. He smiled: “Starting rumors now is already too late (The unit that Nancy lives in, did you suggest it to her?) No, her relative did, she didn’t even make soup for me.” As to Nancy Sit’s incident of being rushed to the hospital during filming, Kenneth who was also part of the cast in that series, he didn’t know why Nancy had to stop working, he only knew that they had to film the scenes out of order.

Kenneth Ma was at TVB City attending a promotion event for a sports show.  When telling him that others think his relationship with Nancy Wu is good (other people think that its real and possible) and that he’s a “good steal” Kenneth said with a laugh “I’m a good steal? Then why isn’t there people fighting over me? I’m really disappointed, but thank you to those that praised me!”

Ever since the news came out that Kenneth and Nancy are dating, today is Kenneth’s first time responding about the news. When asked if there are chances of them being together, he said “No matter which girl I get involved with for rumors like this, I will for sure say yes there can be the opportunity for us to be dating, because as a male, I can’t say bad things about the girls.”  He even said, when Nancy moved into his neighbourhood he knew that these rumors will for sure come along. He actually thinks that these rumors kind of came late.

1 Year Anniversary!

02/29/2008 was the day KMKMF was born, and since it was a leap year, we’ll be celebrating on 3/1 until the next leap year comes around (haha. I hope we’re still around then!) Actually, I wanted to celebrate yesterday, but since I didn’t have time to make the banner, it’s today! :-)

I’m really happy that we made it to our very first anniversary.I know I don’t update in a very timely fashion and I’m kinda all over the place, but I really do appreciate all the help my staff has provided me with (Carmen – who I flood w/ translation emails & Cami)! Special thanks to Carmen and Yin @ MKMC for getting me my very own Kenneth autograph! I’m so happy and beyond words! I was gonna scan it up here and include it in this post, but my scanner’s been acting funny, but still would love to THANK them once again for being so kind! They’re all such awesome ppl!

Also, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the Kenneth fans that come here to show their support for MaMing! Thanks for visiting and for leaving comments (I really love reading those, I just haven’t gotten around to replying lately).

I’m really really happy that more and more ppl have started to like Kenneth and that we’ve been doing quite well in spreading the Kenneth-love. It’s a joy to see that ppl come here and begin liking Kenneth more and more after being exposed to his news and interviews! (Also, hyn5’s blog has made so many ppl love Kenneth as well!) It’s nice seeing the tones of several forums have changed with regards to Kenneth and that more ppl like him. Thanks guys for making this a successful 1st Year! Hope we’ll have more to come!
